Best Krakow Nightlife Areas for a Stag Do
Krakow is home to some of the coolest bars in Poland and will certainly have you ‘cracking on’ until the early hours. The town centre is the place to be on an evening, with bars and clubs lining the medieval Market Square and cool co*cktail bars in Kazimierz, the city’s historic Jewish Quarter.

Market Square
Krakow’s medieval Market Square dates back to the 13th century and is popular with historical enthusiasts and stag dos alike. Centred around the antique Cloth Hall, popular bars and clubs line the streets offering premium vodka and gorgeous girls. If you’re more Zubrowka co*cktails than shots however, then head over to the laid-back B4 which is the perfect spot for cool stags looking for a laid-back evening.
- Quaint,
- Authentic,
- Old School
Kazimierz (The Jewish Quarter)
Kazimierz is the place to head for chic co*cktails and banging beers. The stripped back Piekny Pies doesn’t strike as your typical stag do night out, but what they lack in wallpaper they make up for in authentic polish piwo (that’s beer to me and you). La Habana Bar however will transport you from chilly Poland to the sunnier climbs of Cuba with their delicious mojitos.

Staying Safe in Krakow
Safety might not be the most exciting aspect of going on a stag in Krakow but it's well worth bearing in mind. Here are our top six safety tips:
1
Stick together with your mates so no one is left wandering around Krakow on their own
2
Set up a group chat and put your address accommodation in it (including any pass codes you may need) so everyone has got it
3
With the alcohol flowing it's possible that some groups might get a little lairy. Try not to engage with any other groups looking to start a conflict
4
Keep to the main areas of Krakow rather than straying into unfamiliar neighbourhoods that may be unsafe
5
Don't put your valuables anywhere they can be accessed easily in case of pickpockets
6
If you're partying anywhere near the Vistula river then be mindful around water when intoxicated
By keeping these safety tips in mind we're sure you'll have a smashing Prague stag.
Getting Around Krakow
Nights out in Krakow are easy to navigate with the two main party areas right next to each other in Market Square and the Jewish Quarter. The city has Uber to ensure you can safely travel back after a boozy night out, especially handy when you’ve lost the use of your legs, as well as an intricate bus and tram system that has recently won awards for its innovation.
Bus
The bus and tram systems extend across Krakow’s city centre and tickets can be used between the two interchangeably. Rather than buy a ticket to a particular destination however, tickets work on a time basis, so you pay for the length of your journey instead. This means if your journey requires a change of transportation part way through, you simply buy one ticket, so long as they are validated once onboard.
Airport Airline Powered by Flight Finder
Tram
Tram tickets can be purchased on the tram itself and at machines at the tram stops. The pre-war trams still run to this day, providing a cool retro Instagram opportunity, and run alongside 22 ordinary trams, two fast and three night-time services, meaning you’ll never be short of a lift around this beautiful city.
Airport Airline Powered by Flight Finder
Bike
In recent years, Krakow has become more cycle friendly, with the introduction of cycle lanes throughout the city in the past decade. There are numerous different bike hire spots dotted throughout where you and the lads can grab a ride and take in the city sights and fresh air. This is a perfect alternative to busy public transport.

Interesting and Relevant Krakow Facts
Movie marvel
Stephen Spielberg’s Oscar-awarded Schindler’s List was filmed in the vibrant Jewish Quarter. Many of the synagogues that can be found throughout the streets of Kazimierz are featured in the film providing an authentic feeling.
Tons of energy
It is said that Wawel Hill, where you will find St Gereon’s chapel, is where one of the Earth Chakras lie. In the summertime especially, people swarm to the chapel to touch its walls and feel the boundless energy flowing from the earth.
Trump(et) Tower
A trumpet call is made daily from the tower of St Mary’s but stops abruptly part-way through the melody each time. This is because in 1240, a trumpeter went to sound the alarm of an attack on the city, only to be struck by an arrow part-way through his tune.
